In this competitive world of the music business, it’s important to surround yourself with competent people of our trade. The ladies and gentlemen that have put in work and can show you their resume. The ones that can reach out and touch made people of the industry. The ones that can show you the path and help you navigate through it to some kind of success. Unfortunately too many artist fall victim to the talkers and the flashers of the trade. The talkers run a good script but don’t possess anything in their arsenal to back it up. The flashers got all the material things that most up and coming artist thirst for, and don’t even have an email address but they claim they can get you on. With all the knowledge at our fingertips, it still bugs me out how many up and coming artist are still fazed by the flash. All the Bentleys and diamond studded platinum are NOT the true signs of success. These are material things that can be leased to serve a purpose, and that purpose is to fake you out. We gotta be smart people. If you gonna play in this game, play it with your eyes open. Don’t forget in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king. Stay thirsty and focused!
